The Transfer Experience Center (TEC) is a space where transfer student community is build. Find your place on campus to learn more about resources and opportunities that will help you successfully transition to the UT Austin community. The center provides academic and social programming where you can interact with faculty, staff, and peers throughout your Longhorn journey.
Details and Hours
Located at 2609 University Avenue, the TEC is comprised of a lounge area and kitchen.
The TEC is open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m.
Connected to the TEC is the Multipurpose Room 2.106 that can be reserved through the EMS system: https://ems.universityunions.utexas.edu/VirtualEMS/

Vick Center for Strategic Advising and Career Counseling
You can visit the Vick Center for Strategic Advising and Career Counseling, located in Jester (JES) A115, to get assistance with exploring majors and career paths, adding or dropping classes, registration, internal transfers and more. They take appointments and have drop-in hours Monday through Friday, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The Vick Center will see any student (prospective, admitted, or current) and have one-on-one time with them during weekly drop-in hours.
The Longhorn Center for Academic Excellence (LCAE) Tutoring
