ND Voices

Mondays, April 7, 14, 21, 28
4-5 p.m. | SSB G1.106

This group creates a space for connection and discussion focused on sharing resources, tips and advice on managing life as a Neurodivergent person. All discussions, psychoeducation, and coping skills will revolve around ND culture, perspectives and strengths. The drop-in format of the group is a great way for students to access mental healthcare without having to make a weekly commitment.

This group is co-hosted by CMHC and Longhorn TIES

DCC + TIES: Students on the Spectrum

Students on the Spectrum is a monthly social for all undergraduate and graduate students who identify as autistic (no diagnosis required). These come-and-go socials feature games, crafts, and opportunities for discussion. Students on the Spectrum is hosted by the Disability Cultural Center and Longhorn TIES Neurodiversity Support. RSVP requested, not required.

What's your special interest? We want to know! Share all about your favorite, game, activity, character, content, etc. during this "PowerPoint Night" style show-and-tell. You can make your 5-minute presentation beforehand, at the beginning of the event, or just come hang out and learn more about others' favorite special interests. All faculty and staff are welcome at this event to celebrate the 5-year anniversary of Longhorn TIES and to appreciate the valuable contributions of neurodivergent faculty and staff on campus. This come-and-go event will feature non-alcoholic drinks provided by SHIFT Makers, light refreshments, and voices of neurodivergent Longhorns on campus.

Neurodivergence and Nutrition

This workshop will explore the unique nutrition needs and challenges of neurodiverse individuals (ADHD, ASD, OCD, etc.) and provide you with practical steps and guidance to boost your confidence and improve your health.

Hear ye, hear ye! Join us for the capstone celebration to Neurodiversity Celebration Week! This come-and-go social event will feature Renaissance Fair themed food, games, crafts, giveaways, and more! This event is open to campus and is designed for students, faculty, and staff who identify as neurodivergent. 

Sensory-Friendly Movie Screening: Moana 2

Longhorn TIES and E+E present a sensory-friendly movie screening of Moana 2. Sensory-friendly movie screenings feature lowered volume, dimmed lighting, and the ability to move around if needed. Fidgets will be provided! Campus Events and Entertainment events are free with a UT ID. Please present your ID at the entry.

Longhorn TIES and Longhorn SHARE present a special NDatUT SHARE circle to end Neurodiversity Celebration Week! Join this peer led discussion as we let down the mask, bond over shared experiences and build community. Food and fidgets will be provided and no formal diagnosis is required for participation!

Join us for this come-and-go creative event in The Foundry makerspace at the Fine Arts Library. Stop by and enjoy snacks, fidget toys, and make and take activities using 3d printers, laser cutters, and sewing machines. This event is open to campus and is designed as a connection event for students who identify as neurodivergent. No prior makerspace experience is necessary. The event is co-hosted by UT Libraries and Longhorn TIES.
