Welcome to Longhorn Orientation
We're excited to see you at Longhorn Orientation! Orientation is required for all incoming students. At Longhorn Orientation, you'll get better acquainted with academic and campus resources, meet your fellow new students and register for classes. Our mission is to lead students through their transition to the University community. We provide programs and resources that empower students to achieve academic and co-curricular success.
Spring Admits
You will complete your Spring Orientation requirement virtually, and have the opportunity to join us on campus for some fun with your classmates.
Summer Term Orientation
Summer Term Orientation is for students admitted to begin at UT Austin in summer academic term and will take place completely virtually in May.
Freshman Fall Admits
During your freshman orientation, you'll join us on the Forty Acres to become better acquainted with academic and campus resources, meet your fellow new Longhorns and register for classes.
Transfer Fall Admits
During your transfer orientation, you'll learn about UT Austin's academic and campus resources through self-guided Canvas modules before having the opportunity to join us on campus to engage with your fellow Longhorns.

Family Orientation
Family Orientation attendees will go home feeling more connected to the University and equipped to better support their student through their transition to UT Austin.

Experiential Orientation (TEXPO)
TEXPO to provide students with a unique opportunity designed to expand on the orientation experience, help participants build a community on campus and assist with their transition to UT Austin.
Graduate School Orientation
Each fall, the Graduate School presents an orientation designed specifically for new graduate students.
Be an OA
Orientation Advisors (OA) are an integral part of the Longhorn Orientation experience. If you are looking for a fun and rewarding leadership opportunity, then consider applying to become an OA.
