If you plan to attend Family Orientation, we encourage you to register for the session that aligns with your student's Longhorn Orientation session. Registration for all Family Orientation session will open Spring 2025. Please note: Family Orientation and Longhorn Orientation utilize separate registration processes. You will need your student's UT EID to register.

*Freshman Family Orientation Pre-Registration/Early Registration closes the Thursday prior to the session at 11:59 p.m. CT. Anyone interested in registering after this time will need to register as a walk-in for the session.
Switching Orientation Sessions
If your student switches orientation sessions or you need to modify your date of attendance for another reason, please email familyorientation@austin.utexas.edu. Be sure to include the name of the person who is registered, current session date and new preferred date. You will receive a confirmation email when you have been switched to your new session.
Canceling Your Registration
May/June/July Family Orientation
All registrations are final and there are no refunds. Please review all schedule and content information prior to registering. If you register to attend an orientation session and fail to attend (no-show), the fees are non-refundable.
Spring Family Orientation
Spring Family Orientation will cost $20 per participant. Each participant will receive the ability to create their own account. All registrations are final and there are no refunds. Please review all schedule and content information prior to registering.
