students at orientation at UT Austin

Welcome, future Class of 2024! We're excited for you to join the Longhorn family.

The next step in your journey is to attend UT Orientation, where you'll learn your way around campus, meet with an academic advisor, spend time with other incoming students and register for classes. It’s all at orientation, and it’s required for incoming students. Orientation registration for summer 2020 is open, and you can register here.

Extended Orientation

Each program is packed with fun and engaging activities to help you become familiar with programs available to you at UT Austin and for you to be able to connect with other students.

International Students

In addition to orientation, international students (non-U.S. citizens and non-permanent residents) are also required to check-in with Texas Global.

Camp Texas

Camp Texas is a fun three-day extended orientation program run through the Texas Exes. Incoming students are introduced to life on the Forty Acres at one of six sessions held in August.
