Transfer Students

students at orientation at UT Austin

Welcome, future Longhorns! We're excited for you to join the Longhorn family.

The next step in your journey is to participate in UT Orientation, where you'll get academic resources, campus resources and register for classes. It’s all at orientation, and it’s required for incoming students. Orientation registration for summer 2021 is now open. If you cannot attend a June/July session, you can fulfill your orientation requirement at August Orientation August 17-18. Registration for August Orientation opens July 21, 2021.

We are looking forward to helping thousands of students transition to UT Austin this summer during orientation. As our campus units start making plans to reopen, we have expanded our orientation options to give students the choice to complete their orientation requirement 100% virtually or with a hybrid program. We're looking forward to helping you get in the "Longhorn State of Mind" this summer at Freshman Orientation! We will continue to follow the university's health and safety guidance throughout in-person programming.
